Get your camera ready, join a local guide and prepare for some epic views of the Eiffel Tower. But not just any views – these are the views only locals know about. In addition to amazing photo ops, you’ll also explore off the beaten path to discover the charming area of Passy, with its pedestrian streets and hidden alleyways. Stop in a local market, enjoy a decadent pastry, and cap off your tour with a glass of wine in an unexpected venue. What could be better?
Inclusions: Local English-speaking guide, a buttery pastry, a glass of wine.
Exclusions: Additional food and drinks, souvenirs and items of a personal nature, and tips/gratuities for your guide.
Meet your local guide at Trocadero, which offers one of the most iconic views of the Eiffel Tower. There you’ll hear about its rich history, from the sabotage that stopped Hitler from climbing to the top, to the memorable jump of a parachute pioneer.
From there you’ll step back from the crowds to enter a peaceful Parisian cemetery. You’ll hear about some of the famous people buried there while glancing at the Eiffel Tower between the cathedral-like graves.
You’ll then move on through one of Paris’ cutest and most hidden gardens before getting more amazing views of the tower that only locals know about.
The experience continues with a visit to the charming Passy area that few tourists ever see. You’ll stroll through some gorgeous pedestrian streets and see the local market filled with delicious local products. You’ll also stop in a bakery to taste a decadently buttery pastry.
Following your pastry stop, you’ll head past the former house of Balzac (one of France’s most famous writers) nestled in a lovely lane, which looks as if it’s being taken from a countryside village far from the heart of Paris!
After a stroll through another park, you’ll enter a former 15th-century monastery cellar now converted into a museum. There you’ll hear about the history of vineyards in Paris while sipping a glass of wine.
Finally, you’ll head onto an iconic bridge where your experience will end with one last stunning view of the Eiffel Tower for a final photo opportunity! Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for tips
